Gold
LBMA Good Delivery bars, grain, doré and refined gold under OECD due diligence and full AML protocols.
Overview
What Gold is and who uses it
Gold is procured either as LBMA Good Delivery bars traded within the accredited vault system, or as smaller-format bars, grain and shot for jewellery and industrial fabrication. Doré, unrefined bullion from the mine, trades on assay and requires a refining relationship. The procurement problem in gold is not price discovery, which is transparent, but counterparty legitimacy and provenance.
Why go through us rather than buying direct
Metals concentrate the risk. Counterparty fraud, sanctioned ownership, material that cannot show where it came from. Values are high, settlement is fast and there is very little recourse afterwards. We work through verified refiners and LME-registered brands, run OECD and AML screening before any money moves, and arrange independent assay.
One thing to watch. Advance-fee and non-existent-metal fraud is endemic in off-market gold offers. Logridge transacts only through LBMA-accredited refiners and vaulted, allocated positions, and no funds move before verification is complete.
Specification

The grades below are the ones traded commercially. If a grade has a standard code, put the code in your brief rather than describing the material. Codes are enforceable in a contract. Descriptions are not.

- Gold Powder
- Gold Granules
- 999.9 Fine Gold
- 999.5 Fine Gold
Sourcing
Origin Countries
We source this from the countries below. Origin is not a preference. It decides which phytosanitary and licensing rules apply, what specification is achievable, how the freight routes and what sanctions exposure you take on. We choose it against your compliance and delivery needs, not on price alone.
Standards
Compliance & Documentation
Everything below is applied as standard on this commodity. You get the complete document set when the transaction closes.
- OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas
- LBMA Responsible Gold Guidance, with the refinery drawn from the LBMA Good Delivery List
- Conflict-free verification and mine-to-buyer traceability
- Anti-money laundering checks including source of funds verification
- KYC and KYB verification with beneficial ownership identification
- Sanctions and PEP screening on all counterparties
- Export and import licensing, and assay certification
Verification
Quality & Inspection
Put the parameters below in your brief with a tolerance against each, not a single target figure. A specification without tolerances gives the contract nothing to fall back on when a cargo lands marginally out.
- Fineness / assay (parts per thousand)
- Form (bar, grain, sponge, ingot, powder)
- Refiner and serial number
- Bar weight and tolerance
- Assay certificate from an accredited laboratory
- Surface condition and packaging integrity
- Fineness (999.9 or 999.5)
- Form (bar, grain, shot, doré, powder)
- Refiner and LBMA accreditation status
- Serial number and bar list
- Weight tolerance (troy ounces)
We appoint an independent inspection agency at origin. They check quantity, quality against what was contracted, and the condition of the packaging, all before the shipment is released for loading. That certificate is what any later claim rests on.
